Cpds. of formula (I):- Rf = a (1-8)C perfluorocarbon radical R2 = H, lower alkyl or a cation R3 = an organic group of not > 20 C atoms contng. hetero atoms joined to the N through an aromatic cycle Antibacterial, antiparasitic, insecticidal, nematocidal, plant growth regulatory, antiinflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic, and antifibrinolytic agents. To a stirred mixt. of 67.6 g. 4-aminoacetophenone, 60 g. Et3N, and 400 ml. CHCl3 was added dropwise 155 g. trifluoromethanesulphonic anhydride with ice cooling. The mixture was extracted with 10% aq. NaOH and the extracts acidified to give (II), m.143-5 deg. (aq. ethanol). |
