Aq. bitumen emulsion contg a butadiene-styrene copolymer. Comprises 50-70% by wt. bitumen referred to total wt. of water and bitumen, and a butadiene-styrene copolymer in an amt. of 5-20% by wt. referred to total wt. of bitumen emulsion and copolymer, the styrene prop. being 40-80%. The bitumen emulsion is used e.g. for insulating drinking water containers, insulating foundations and cellars, and is resistant to all weather conditions, sea water, UV-light, fungus, etc. |
