Stabilisers for self-crosslinking polymers produced by (co)polymsn. of olefinically unsatd. methylol group-contg. amides of alpha,beta-unsatd mono- or dibasic carboxylic acids, consists of alpha-aminocarboxylic acids of formula I, or are of its soluble salts. R - CH(NH2)-COOH (I); R = H, CH3, C2H5, C3H7 or C4H9. Use of cpds. I enables the self-crosslinking polymers to be effectively stabilised in soln., or pref. in aqs. dispersion, so that the reactive groups do not become split off. |
