PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary cell having an improved initial charge-discharge efficiency and an improved charge- discharge cycle performance. SOLUTION: In the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary cell using a lithium ion occludable-releasable active substance for a negative electrode, the surface of the active substance, preferably a carbonaceous material, is 25 μm or less in Rp value (mean line height) and the surface roughness is suppressed in low. Hence, the amount of a membrane formed on the surface of the active substance, which is one cause of charge-discharge cycle degradation, is kept low. |
