1,244,731. Low-lift trucks. JOLODA TRANSPORT EQUIPMENT Ltd. 21 July, 1969 [9 Aug., 1968], No. 38151/68. Heading B8H. A low-lift truck comprises a load support 13 provided on its underside with cams 14 which are supported on rollers 15 on bogies 10 connected together in tandem by links 11, whereby relative horizontal movement between the load support and the bodies causes raising and lowering of the load support. As shown, this relative movement is produced, against the action of a spring 18, by an hydraulic ram 28 which, at one end, is pivoted to a bogie 10 and, at the other end, is mounted in a housing 17 which is pivoted at 17a to side walls of the load support. The housing 17 includes a pump for supplying fluid to the ram, the pump being actuated by a handle 23 which may also operate a pressurerelease valve for lowering the load support. The truck may be coupled to a similar extension unit 32 by means of hooks 33, 34 and connections 37, 38, whereby the load support of the extension unit is raised and lowered with the load support 13. Two or more trucks, with or without extension units 32, may be arranged to run in parallel side-by-side arrangement. They may be connected together or they may run in parallel tracks, Figs. 5-7 (not shown), on the floor of a vehicle, transport container or building.
|
