The mechanism for automatic opening and closing especially of motor vehicle doors has a reversible electric motor. A gear system and mechanism are provided for providing linear actuating of the door. A centrifugally actuated coupling roller (19) is provided for ensuring coupling independently of motor rotation direction. The roller is held in a curved chamber (22) formed by a flat side (21) of the ring connected to drive shaft and by the outside ring (18) connected to driven side. The roller is held in mid position by a groove (23). Coupling is ensured by the wedging action of the roller. |
