<p>Guide surfaces between each pair of adjacent chambers or compartments go over into guides directed forwards to end just short of their associated doctor blade. Guides at the ends of these surfaces terminate as tips to ensure exact adjoinment of the coating layers. The blade is pref. narrower or shorter than the clear spacing between adjoining or opposing guide surfaces to ensure closest possible approach of the coatings from opposite sides. Used for coating e.g. paper with dyes, lacquers etc.</p> |
