PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device with a wide viewing angle and a thin film transistor substrate are provided to obtain the wide viewing angle by differentiating the light path compensating characteristics per domain according to the different orientation direction of liquid crystal. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device with a wide viewing angle includes a first insulating substrate(10), first wires(22) formed on the first substrate, second wires formed on the insulating substrate, intersecting the first wires, a first alignment film(71) formed on the second wires, a first compensating layer(90) of which light path compensating characteristics are determined according to the direction by the first alignment film, pixel electrodes(82) formed on the first compensating film, a second insulating substrate(110) facing the first insulating substrate, a second alignment film(172) formed on the second substrate, a second compensating layer(190) of which light path compensating characteristics are determined according to the direction by the second alignment film, common electrodes(180) formed on the second compensating layer, and liquid crystal material injected between the substrates. |
