1,238,529. Moulding gramophone records. CARL LINDSTROM G.m.b.H. 15 July, 1968 [17 July, 1967], No. 33647/68. Addition to 1,184,111. Heading B5A. Apparatus for the automatic production of gramophone records as described in the parent Specification is modified in that the first transfer means incorporates a pair of semi-circular claws E, actuated by mechanisms 21, 22, which encircle a space closed at the ends by two record labels, into which space mouldable material is injected to form a cake of material sandwiched between the labels, the cake then being conveyed by the claws to the next station for moulding into a record. The record moulding operation, its subsequent trimming and stacking, and the mechanism for transferring the product to the various stations from the moulding station is as described in the parent Specification. Record labels are supplied from laterally located magazines L1, L2 by vacuum grabs J1, J2 carried on a laterally reciprocating support S and vertically reciprocated by mechanisms 40, 41. A lower label is first fed to a table T, the claws are then closed and an upper label fed on to the claws. Moulding material is then supplied from a dispenser H and pipe Q to the space, a hole being formed in the material by a reciprocated pin Z. |
