The building structural assembly is arranged to close a wall cavity (14) at a reveal where a window- or door-frame (16) is to be mounted. One wall leaf (12) (preferably the inner) affords a reveal relative to the other leaf (10). The cavity (14) is closed by a composite damp proof course and cavity closer (18) (esp. of PVC) formed with shallow grooves (28) acting as a moisture trap. The cavity bridging flange (20) has a mortar heying groove (24) of dovetail shape which also secures a wall tie (26) end on in the outer leaf (10). A similar groove (30) in the reveal-abutting flange (22) secures a side-entry wall tie (26) to the inner leaf (12). The d.p.c. and cavity closer (18) may be fastened (32) to the frame (16) and the combination placed in relation to the leaves (10, 12) being built. |
