SUPPORT ASSEMBLY FOR A REMOTELY FIRED POWDER-CHARGE-OPERATED BOLT SETTER

An assembly, for supporting a remotely operated bolt setter on a structure into which anchoring elements are to be inserted, is formed of a contact arm which extends laterally from an elongated extension member secured to and extending from the bolt setter. An abutment member is movably attached to the contact arm at a position spaced laterally from the extension member for holding the bolt setter on the structure so that by pivoting the extension member relative to the contact arm the bolt setter can be urged in the direction in which the anchoring elements are to be inserted for affording a compressing safety action against the barrel of the bolt setter before it can be fired.
