PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon monoxide selective oxidizing catalyst capable of reducing the concentration of carbon monoxide in hydrogen rich gas containing carbon monoxide than before and excellent in selectivity at the time of oxidation of carbon monoxide or capable of realizing carbon monoxide selective oxidation activity sufficient at a lower temperature. SOLUTION: The carbon monoxide selective oxidizing catalyst consists of a carrier comprising ferrierite or ZSM-5 and platinum (Pt) or a metal component, which consists of platinum and at least one kind of a transition metal, supported on the carrier. Alternatively, the carbon monoxide selective oxidizing catalyst consists of the carrier with a maximum pore size of 0.55-0.65 nm and platinum Pt or the metal component, which consists of platinum and at least one kind of the transition metal, supported on the carrier. |
