Sheet formed from the pulp according to a specified method and having a basis weight of 1500 g/m<SP>2</SP> has the following properties Thickness, mm. 1.5-3.5 Specific Gravity, g/cc. 0.4-1.0 Tensile Strength, Kgf/cm<SP>2</SP> 150-600 Dihedron Penetration, Kgf. cm. 40-100 when measured according to standard specified test methods. The deliguifying reagent may be an alkali or alkaline earth metal hydroxide, ammonium hydroxide, a sulphur compound and/or a hydrotropic salt. Mechanical treatment may be effected in conventional pulpers, stone or disc mills.</p> |
