The arm 11 is turned from the stored position (dotted) where it is placed by spring 18, by rotation of a spindle 9 through a shaft 7 which may gang a similar fastening at the other end of the lid. The arm 11 has a shoe which engages under a similar shoe 20 on the arm 15 in the oblique position (dotted) of this arm. It is located by an abutment 17. In the vertical, fastened position shown in full lines, a padlock may be passed through registering holes 13 to prevent release. Both springs 18, 19 bias their arms counter-clockwise, the rotation being limited by a housing 14.</p> |
