A measuring instrument especially for measuring low pressures occurring, for example, in a temperature gauge, comprising a Bourdon tube which has a relatively thin wall thickness and is capable of turning the pointer on the inner end of the Bourdon tube to an angle of more than 180 DEG from its zero setting, and at least one abutment for limiting the expansion of the outermost winding of the Bourdon tube.
