<p>1412047 Associating sheets HOCHLAND REICH SUMMER & CO 16 Oct 1973 [26 Oct 1972] 48206/73 Heading B8R A web of parchment is fed from a roll 1 by feed rollers 6, 7 to a cylindrical cutter 11 having a perforating blade 12, which cutter has a higher peripheral speed than the rollers so that as the web is perforated the portion in front of the perforations is torn off as a separate sheet 20, which is fed by rollers 15, 16, and creasing rollers 17, 18 which stiffen it-by creasing it, into the downward path of cheese slices 19 from a slicing-machine, so that the sheets are interleaved with the slices. When a sheet is not to be interleaved, as after the last slice of a package, a pneumatic device 9 swings a rocker 10 to disengage the rollers 7, 8 from each other and engage reversing rollers 4, 5 to retract the web from the cutter.</p> |
