1499491 Cupping RASSELSTEIN AG- 30 April 1976 [3 May 1975] 17756/76 Heading B3Q [Also in Division C5] Cup-shaped tinplate can blanks during wall ironing are lubricated and cooled by an emulsion in water of up to 3 w. per cent of the emulsion of synthetic physiologically harmelss organic ester in the form of a pure substance together with a non-ionic wetting agent, preferably 0À02 to 0À2 w. per cent, the composition being removed by washing in water the can bodies produced. A corrosion inhibitor 0À5 to 2À0 w. per cent may be included. Washing may be by water spraying, followed by drying in a hot air tunnel. The composition may be used also during cupping to form the blanks. Suitable esters are: di-(2-ethylhexyl)sebacate, dibutyl sebacate, acetyl tributyl citrate, acetyl triethyl citrate, butyl stearate, isobutyl stearate and mono-, di- and tristearyl citrate. Suitable wetting agents are: polyoxyethylene (20) sorbitan tristearate, polyoxyethylene (20) sorbitan monolaurate, polyxoyethylene (20) sorbitan monostearate, alkylphenolpolyglycolether, and aliphatic alcohol (C 12 to C 18 ) ethoxylated with 10 to 20 mol of ethylene oxide per mol. Suitable corrosion inhibitors are: dicyclohexylamine and its salts of fatty acids derived from animal or vegetable oils, decyclohexylamine nitrate, morpholine and its salt of fatty acids derived from animal or vegetable oils. |
