Segmented coupling flange for pipes - has two diametrically opposite holes in segments brought in line with one another

The flange is used to connect a pipe to a second pipe and with fixed flange. The flange consists of two segments. The thickness at the ends of the segments are reduced by half. The ends have two diametrically opposite holes so that the holes in one segment can be brought in line with those in the other segment. A sleeve (10) is placed through these holes to connect the two halves. The built up flange has an internal rim (18) which fits in a groove in the outside dia of the pipe. The front face of the flange has a groove (32) in which an elastomer sealing ring is mounted which seals the gap between the two flanges. The rear face of the flange has a number of lugs in which radial grub-screws are mounted to locate the flange.
