SOLUTION: This manufacturing method for an alkaline secondary battery provided with the positive electrode, a negative electrode and an alkaline electrolyte is characterized in that the positive electrode is manufactured by a method comprising: a process for forming an active material containing layer by filling a conductive board with paste containing an active material and by drying it, a first pressing process for pressing the active material containing layer holding board with a press machine having a smooth pressing surface, a second pressing process for forming an uneven part on the surface of the active material containing layer holding board by pressing the active material containing layer holding board 1 by roller presses 2 having a surface having undergone a knurling process of a crisscross pattern of m0.2-0.5, and a process for welding a collector to the active material containing layer holding board.
