PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup with which recording or reproduction can be performed to a plurality of optical disks having different standards for recording and reproduction by using light beams of different wavelengths, and which is suitable for integrating a laser and a light receiving element in one package. SOLUTION: The optical pickup is provided with a first semiconductor laser 20 and a second semiconductor laser 21 which are disposed closely, a diffraction grating 22 for three beams, which generates three beams for tracking control, a second hologram element 24 which diffracts the light beam of the second semiconductor laser 21 and then guides it to a photodetector 27, a composite polarizing beam splitter(PBS) 25 which reflects only the light beam of the first semiconductor laser 20, and a first hologram element 23 which diffracts the light beam of the first semiconductor laser 20 and then guides it to the photodetector 27. |
