The anchor chain is connected to the rope by a connector 54 having a portion 54b in which one end of the rope is secured and a convex portion 54a in which a link 56 of the chain is received. The fairlead sheave has an inner groove 66 for the rope, an intermediate groove 68 for the anchor chain and an outer groove 70 having an inner surface which mates with the convex portion of the connector.</p> |
