PURPOSE:To reduce the number of working processes by a method wherein coils are unitized and assembled with a core. CONSTITUTION:First, a spacer 15 having a Z-shaped section is inserted between each adjacent turns of a coil 3 with a certain interval. A U-shaped cut-out groove 16a is formed on either side surface of the spacer 15, and the spacer 15 and the coil 3 are integrally fastened by a glass binder through the cut-out groove 16a to form a coil fastening layer 16. Then, a U-shaped groove 17 having the same width as that of the coil fastening layer 16 is formed in a core 1 opposite to the coil fastening layer 16. Next, a wedge 18 is inserted into the U- shaped groove 17, so that the coil 3 is positioned and fixed relative to the core 1. Subsequently, the upper and lower ends of the coil 3 thus positioned and fixed are secured to the core 1 using support fittings 9, 10. By so doing, it becomes possible to eliminate the need of mounting the coil to the core for each turn and hence to reduce the number of working processes. |
