PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a recording medium having uniqueness in which identification information such as a serial number, an ID number characteristic to each recording medium is recorded as an information signal in a non-erasable and non-rewritable state without causing the complexity of the constitution of a reproducing device and the troublesomeness of reading operations. SOLUTION: In order to record digitized recognized information (waveform A) into a recognized information recording area by using a recording medium where additional recording is possible at least in the recognized information recording area, '1' is modulated to a signal of a first frequency and '0' is modulated to a signal of a second frequency (waveform B) to perform writing corresponding to the signal of these respective frequencies to the recognized information recording area.
