PURPOSE:To prepare delicious peanuts contained in the shell, by boring a hole through the shell of raw peanuts, immersing the peanuts in a properly mixed seasoning liquid, and heating the peanuts after draining. CONSTITUTION:The shell of raw peanuts is bored or cracked with a machine, and immersed in a properly prepared seasoning liquid or the seasoning liquid is injected into the shell. The shell containing peanuts is drained and parched or heated e.g. by high-frequency heater to season the peanuts contained in the shell. Since the hole or crack applied to the shell decreases the commercial value of the peanuts, it is closed by mixing the seasoned peanuts together with a sealing agent obtained by mixing a powder of peanut shell or the like (e.g. cork) with a binder such as wheat flour in a rotary pan, and separating the peanuts from the powder by sieving, thereby smearing the surface of the shell with the sealing agent. |
