PURPOSE:To avoid the generation of deflection and thus enable to obtain stable electric connection by changing the direction of the movement of a locking cover into a vertical direction. CONSTITUTION:To perform the inspection of an LSI circuit, the cover 12 is in the state of erection with a lever 13; in stead of this, a locking cover 3 engages hooks 31 on the both sides thereof to the projections 15 of a housing 11. A slightly wide protruded member 32 is provided at the center of the cover 3 in the longitudinal direction, and a cum shaft 33 whose cross-section is nearly an ellipse is contained therein. In order to inspect the IC, first the cover 12 of a connector 1 is removed from the housing and erected, thereafter the locking cover 3 is placed on the housing, and the IC is incorporated in the lower part of an insulator. |
