LUBRICANT FOR TABLETS, TABLETS USING THE SAME AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant for tablet pharmaceuticals that can reduce tableting troubles interrupting the continuous production of tablets and does not deteriorate and texture. SOLUTION: The objective lubricant for tablet pharmaceuticals is spherical particles of β-type fat with an average particle size of 50-200 μm and an iodine value of <=2. The objective lubricant is obtained by (1) melting a fat solidified to the utmost by holding the fat at a temperature 10-30 deg.C higher than the melting point of the fat, (2) spraying the molten fat from a spraying nozzle and bringing the sprayed fat particles into contact with to cooled gas to pulverizing them into spherical fine particles, (3) classifying them to obtain spherical particles of a suitable size, then (4) maintaining the particles at 35-50 deg.C to promote the transition of the crystals into the β-type.
