PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which can give a cured product or a cured film of a low internal stress and is useful for pants, by mixing an epoxy resin other than an alicyclic epoxy resin with a spiroorthoester compound and a specified curing agent. CONSTITUTION:An (alicyclic) epoxy resin, an epoxidized olefin, an epoxidized polybutadiene, an epoxidized vegetable oil or the like (i) is reacted with a lactone (ii) to obtain a spiroorthoester compound (b) (e.g., bisphenol A diglycidyl ether/epsilon-caprolactone adduct). A mixture of 100pts.wt. epoxy resin (a) other than an alicyclic epoxy resin (e.g., sorbitol glycidyl ether) with 25-100pt.wt. component (b) is mixed with a curing agent comprising 0.001-10wt%, based on the mixture, imidazole compound (e.g., 2-ethyl-4-methylimidazole) or 0.8-1.1 equivalent, per equivalent of the mixture, of an amine compound (e.g., triethylenetetramine) and, optionally, a cure accelerator (d).
