PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of the residual level detection of a powdery magnetic body by composing a detector of a spiral planar coil, an outer peripheral electrode, and an inner electrode, and setting the center of the motion of this member in the center of the outer peripheral electrode and coil. CONSTITUTION:The detector 1 consists principally of the spiral planar coil 2, the outer peripheral electrode 3 connected to the outside end of this coil 2, and the inner electrode 4 connected to the inside end of the coil 2. The detector 1 is provided on the side wall surface 6 of a container 5 and the center of the motion of the member such as an agitator rod 7 is positioned in the center of the electrode 3. Consequently, magnetic toner is consumed as a copying machine is used, and the magnetic toner storage level on the coil surface decreases according to the consumption as well. The variation of the magnetic body on the coil surface causes the coil 2 to vary inductance and capacitance and an output voltage from between the electrodes varies. This constitution reduces the influence of the rotation of the agitating rod upon the output voltage from between the electrodes of the detector 1. The accuracy of the residual level detection of the powdery magnetic body is therefore improved. |
