PURPOSE: To improve articulation of sounds and remove damage to the wall of a cochlea by self-adjusting the direction when the device is inserted in the cochlea and keeping a specific direction according to the shape of the cochlea. CONSTITUTION: A supporting body 6 made of a bio-compatible material carries an electrode 11 made of a bio-compatible and inactive material, e.g. platinum. The electrode 11 is placed on the left side facing to the tip. This supporting body 6 is divided into successive sections by a slit 12 placed on the opposite plane to that carrying the electrode 11 and between the two electrodes.
