<p>PURPOSE:To prepare the title article excellent in the surface flatness and form retention by coating a vulcanizable molded article comprising a chlorinated ethylene.alpha-olefin copolymer rubber with a coating liq. contg. a specific compd. and then vulcanizing the article. CONSTITUTION:A vulcanizable molded article comprising a chlorinated ethylene.alpha-olefin copolymer rubber (e.g. chlorinated ethylene.1-butene copolymer rubber) is coated with a coating liq. contg. at least one compd. selected from the group consisting of an alkylammonium halide (e.g. tetramethylammonium chloride), alkylphosphonium halide (e.g. tetramethylphosphonium iodide), amine with an acid dissociation const. (pKa) of 10 or higher (e.g. dicyclohexylamine), and salt of the amine (e.g. dicyclohexylamine salt of benzoic acid). Then the coated article is vulcanized, thus giving the title article which has surface flatness and form retention superior to those of a conventional molded article and is excellent in the sealing properties.</p> |
