PURPOSE:To improve propulsion efficiency by respectively providing a check valve or the like in inlet and outlet ports of a pipe respectively of a check valve or the like, in the case of a steam passenger launch steam engine formed by a stroke of sucking water and a stroke of steam explosion and provided with a pipe inserted in the lengthwise direction of the launch. CONSTITUTION:A pipe is provided inserted along the lengthwise direction of a launch, and valves 1, 2 are provided respectively in an inlet and an outlet of this pipe. Fluid in the pipe is jetted to the rear so as to propel the launch by opening the valve 1 and closing the valve 2 in a stroke of sucking hot water below the pipe and by opening the valve 2 and closing the valve 1 in a stroke of steam explosion. |
