An agent to inhibit unpleasant smells contains (a) 80-95 wt.% of at least one surfactant; (b) 3-12 wt.% of at least one organic acid; and (c) 2-8 wt.% of at least one plant and/or animal oil and/or fat. Pref. (a) is bentonite, esp. an activated sodium bentonite. (b) is citric acid. (c) is soya oil. The agent can also contain another substance with its own strong smell, esp. juniper extract and garlic extract. The amt. juniper extract is 0.1-0.4 wt.% and the amt. garlic extract is 0.3-3 wt.%
