PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing the raw powder material and the positive electrode material capable of improving the discharge capacity, a cycle characteristic, a rate characteristic and a high temperature characteristic as the positive electrode material for lithium secondary battery. SOLUTION: This raw powder material is used for the positive electrode material for lithium secondary battery formed by arranging a separator between a negative electrode of the carbon group material and a positive electrode of the spinel group lithium manganese oxide and filling the non-aqueous electrolyte. The raw powder material of the spinel group lithium manganese oxide is filtered by a filter having a required mesh, and a difference of the grid constant between the filtered raw material and the residual raw material, which can not pass through the filter, is set at 0.006 Å or less. After determining the quality of the row powder material, the raw material of good quality is used in this method of manufacturing the positive electrode material. |
