PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To frequently change a visual point and also to finely observe a place to be noted when the walk-through is performed by means of a three- dimensional image that is formed by the computer graphics. SOLUTION: An original image holding means 1 holds a stereoscopic original image and produces a simple image of the held stereoscopic image by a simple image generation means 2. A hierarchical image holding means 3 holds the produced simple image, and a visual point position decision means 4 decides the image display position and also a display screen switching interval. A display image generation means 5 generates a display image viewed at the visual point that is decided by the means 4 based on the image held by the means 3. Then the image generated by the means 5 is shown on a display 7. The means 3 stores in steps the images including the fine and rough images. The rough images are displayed when the visual point changing time interval is short, and the fine images are drawn against a long visual point changing time interval, respectively. Thus, it is possible to grasp an entire image and also to easily observe a desired place to be observed. |
