PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the transfer rate of a belt transfer system transfer device provided in an image forming device. SOLUTION: The transfer device is constituted so that a recording paper 119 is carried by a transfer belt 201 and closely stuck to a photoreceptor drum 104 and the transfer belt 201 is electrified by a conductive brush 202, to transfer a toner image on the photoreceptor 104 onto the recording paper 119, the transfer belt 201 is made of a high-resistant polymeric material whose volume resistivity is >=10<14>Ω.cm and as the conductive brush 202, one whose resistivity is <=10<5>Ω.cm is provided. By this transfer device, a good transfer result at a transfer rate of >=95% is obtained.
