PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of installing the glass run and the jig for the glass run installation which enables reduction of installation time of the glass run to a door sash or a door panel without forming a molding part in particular. SOLUTION: A groove portion 4 which guides a door glass is formed by a car outside wall portion 6, a base wall portion 7, and a car inside wall portion 8. A glass run 5 provided with outer and inner lips 9, 10 which slide against the door glass and car outside and car inside molding lips 11, 12 is fit with a door sash or in a concave portion 2a of a door panel 2. In this case, portion 21 which is approximately of the same width as the door glass and which is slightly longer than a depth of the groove portion 4 and which projects from a base portion 20 wider than a width of the concave portion, is inserted into the groove portion 4. Then, the portion 21 is abutted against the base wall portion 7 while the glass run 5 is inserted inside the concave portion 2a. Further, the base portion 20 is abutted against end portions of the car outside wall portion 6 and the car inside wall portion 8 such that the glass run 5 is held between the door sash or the door panel 20 and the base portion 20. |
