The sliding cover (2) in the sunroof opening of an automobile roof (1) is composed of a cover panel (3) and a plastics frame (8), injection molded or foamed round it, together with an edge gap seal (5). At least one heating element (13-18) with heating wires (18) is integrated into the plastics frame (8). The heating wires (18) follow a serpentine path. The heater is clipped into a recess at the under side and/or outer side of the frame (8). The radio/cellular phone/satellite navigation unit (GPS) antenna wires can be integrated into the heating wires.
