The invention concerns the use of at least a plant extract of at least the genus Rosmarinus, in or for the preparation of a composition for preventive and/or curative treatment of the ageing skin symptoms. In particular the extract or the composition are designed to stimulate the restoring of the skin structure and/or to inhibit degeneration of the skin and/or the mucous membranes by stimulating collagen synthesis and/or by inhibiting collagenase.
