SETTLEMENT CARD, CARD TYPE RECORDING MEDIUM WHICH CAN BE USED FOR THE CARD AND METHOD FOR ELECTRONIC COMMERCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a customer side to directly utilize a settlement card such as a credit card for online settlement in an electronic commerce. SOLUTION: The settlement card 10 such as a credit card consists of a rectangular card substrate 11 which has a hole 12 to be fitted with the hub of a disk drive nearly in its center and can be mounted on the disk drive through the hole 12, and a CD-R type recording layer 13 which is formed in the state of a doughnut of a width (w) on the substrate 11 keeping a prescribed interval (d) from the periphery of the hole 12 of this substrate 11, from which at least recording information can be read by the disk drive and which has the issuing source identification information of the card, a card number, at least one kind of individual identification for identifying the person and a client software program for realizing a processing sequence concerning electronic commerce including card settlement.
