PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic motor capable of eliminating the effects of a variety of vibrations generated in an oscillator to such a degree having no practical problem, by reducing radiation pressure given to a relatively moving member from an oscillator and setting the protruding height of a driving power taking-out part so as to be low. SOLUTION: This vibrating motor 10 is provided with an elastic body 12 generating vibration by inputting electric energy, an oscillator 11 which is formed on one plane of the elastic body 12 and involves driving power taking- out parts 12a, 12a', 12b, 12b' for taking out driving power obtained by vibration, and a relatively moving member 21 which is brought into pressure contact with the driving power taking-out parts 12a, 12a', 12b, 12b' and conducts relative movement between itself and the oscillator 11. The relatively moving member 21 includes the first areas A1, A2 where the driving power taking-out parts 12a, 12a', 12b, 12b' slide during relative movement and the second areas A3 to A5 brought into non contact with the driving power taking-out parts 12a, 12a', 12b, 12b'. A groove 22 serving as a radiation pressure reducing means for reducing the radiation pressure received from the oscillator 11 at the time of generation of vibration is formed in the second area. |
