PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a portable telephone casing out of a resin base material which is thin but has high rigidity and static strength and high impact resistance. SOLUTION: The base material 11 for the portable telephone casing formed out of the base material by molding a resin material is formed by coating the base material 11 with several layers of double layers consisting of the plating layers 12a and 12b of the metal which is a ductile material applied on the front surface of the base material 11 as the plating layers of the lower layers and the plating layers 13a and 13b of the metal which is the brittle material applied on the plating layers of the lower layers as the plating layers of the upper layers.
