PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical module which can be applied even to a hybrid optical integrated circuit and has greatly reduced reflection attenuation amount and a production method thereof, and a device therefor. SOLUTION: In the optical module which is constituted by joining an optical fiber 20 to an optical module main body incorporating a reflection element therein, a prescribed optical coupling loss is given to an optically coupled part of the optical fiber 20 with the optical module main body and then the optical fiber 20 and the optical module main body are fixed so that optically coupling loss of the optical fiber 20 and the optical module main body is lower than a prescribed reference value and simultaneously reflection attenuation amount to reflection from the reflection element is higher than the prescribed reference value.
