<p>An anti-theft device for an endoscope, boroscope or other device disclosed. The anti-theft device (10) in one embodiment comprises a top portion (14) with a channel (46) through it and a bottom portion (16) hingeably (18) attached to the top portion. A locking mechanism (24) presses the flexible tube against a resting surface(30). The bottom portion (16) comprises a flange (23) that extends into the top portion (14) when the device is closed. A locking lip (44) turns upon activation of the locking mechanism (24) and extends above the flange (23) when the device is closed, and a cam (42) within the bottom portion (16) pushes a bolt (34) attached to the pressing surface (32) upon activation of the locking mechanism (24), thereby pressing the flexible tube against the resting surface (30).</p> |
