PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium that can be used with conventional drives and has expanded recording capacity without deviating from the standards imposed on the disk. SOLUTION: In the program region and readout region, at least either the track pitch or linear velocity is smaller than that for the read-in region. Since the track pitch and linear velocity are similar to those of conventional ones in the read-in region, the optical pickup can focus at it did before and recognize the optical recording medium easily. On the other hand, the record capacity of the program region can increase as at least either the track pitch or linear velocity is smaller than those for conventional examples in the program region. Therefore, the optical information recording medium can become the one that can be used with the conventional drive and has expanded recording capacity without deviating from the standards imposed on the disk. |
