PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a thermoelectric element together with a thermoelectric module, capable of providing a sufficient performance even if a large temperature difference occurs between both end parts of a thermoelectric element when a thermoelectric module is operated. SOLUTION: There are provided a process where a plurality of materials are prepared which comprise a thermoelectric material having such composition as a performance index is maximum at desired temperature regions different, and a process where crystal grains at a plurality of materials are oriented in a crystal orientation excellent in performance index by a hot plastic process while the plurality of materials are jointed together. A thermoelectric module 1 comprises thermoelectric elements 2(P) and 2(N) manufactured by the manufacturing method.
