PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washer for circulating water in a washing tub and draining the water in the washing tub to a water storage tub without increasing a cost. SOLUTION: This washer has the washing tub 2, a circulating pump 18 arranged outside the washing tub 2, deriving the water in the washing tub 2 to the outside of the washing tub 2, and introducing this derived water again into the washing tub 2, and a directional control valve 20 arranged on the downstream side of the circulating pump 18. The directional control valve 20 is selectively switched to a state of allowing the water from the circulating pump 18 to be introduced into the washing tub 2 and a state of allowing the water from the circulating pump 18 to reach the water storage tub 9 outside of the washing tub 2. The water can be drained to the water storage tank by the circulating pump. This, since the circulating pump can be used in common as a drainage pump, a cost increase in the washer can be restrained.
