An electro-optical apparatus, an electronic apparatus and a method of manufacturing the electro-optical apparatus are provided to prevent a liquid crystal panel from being bent and broken due to its fall by placing upper and lower frames comprised of metal at a proper position of the electro-optical apparatus. An upper frame(4) has an open part(4b) on at least two corners and is comprised of metal where an aperture part(4a) is formed. An electro-optical panel(3) is placed under the upper frame and formed by inserting electro-optical material between a pair of substrates. A light guide plate(2) is placed under the electro-optical panel. A middle frame(1) of a stripe shape is placed under the light guide plate and maintains the electro-optical panel and the light guide plate. The electro-optical panel and the light guide plate are kept between the upper frame and the middle frame. The electro-optical panel is attached to the upper frame at four edges by bonding material. At least two corners of the middle frame are exposed at the open part of the upper frame.
