<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a solid polymer fuel cell having a catalyst layer having sufficient three-phase interface amount. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode for the solid polymer fuel cell has the catalyst layer formed by applying catalyst paste prepared by dispersing an electrolyte solution in which an electrolyte is dissolved in a solvent, electrolyte particles made of the electrolyte, catalyst carrying particles in which catalyst metal is carried in carrier particles.
