摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflection scanner in which the plane tilt of a reflection face of a rotating polygon mirror with respect to a central axis is suppressed by keeping a high machining accuracy, the eccentricity of the reflection faces of the thick rotating polygon mirror with respect to the central axis is reduced, and the deterioration of the plane accuracy of the reflection faces of the rotating polygon mirror is reduced. SOLUTION: A typical composition of the deflection scanner of the present invention is the rotating polygon mirror 1 which deflects and reflects laser beams, a rotation shaft 2, on which rotating polygon mirror 1 is force-fitted, rotates as a unit with the rotating polygon mirror 1, and a flange member 7 which is abutted to the rotating polygon mirror 1 and positions the the rotating polygon mirror 1 in the axial direction. The deflection scanner deflects and scans a plurality of the laser beams, and the rotating polygon mirror 1 is characterized by having two or more reflection faces 1a and 1b which are separated in the axial direction and deflect and reflect the plurality of the laser beams, and the force-fitting part 1c of the rotating polygon mirror 1 on the rotation shaft 2 is provided at substantially central position of the parts in the axial direction at which the laser beams are made incident.
