PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide accurate vibration-proof control. SOLUTION: This camera has an optical axis changing means which changes the optical axis of a photographing lens, an actuator which drives the optical axis changing means, a displacement detecting means which detects the displacement of the optical axis changing means, a displacement speed computing means which computes displacement speed from the output of the displacement detecting means, a target displacement speed computing means which computes a target displacement speed in accordance with the difference between the central position that is an approximate center of the displacement range of the optical axis and the output of the displacement detecting means, a speed error computing means which computes the speed error from the difference between the displacement speed and the target displacement speed, a fundamental driving amount computing means which computes a fundamental driving amount by multiplying a certain coefficient by the target displacement speed, a correction driving amount computing means which computes a correction driving amount by multiplying a certain coefficient by the speed error and a driving means which drives the actuator by the fundamental driving amount and the correction driving amount so as to drive the optical axis to the central position.
